Any recommendation on a spray on cleaner for plastic chrome wheel covers?

I would stay away from anything harsh or acid based. Try to see if a sealant will help so you can use carsoap and water at most washes.

Any pics? Are they something like this:

The finish the wheels in question should look something like this. Judging by his avatar he has a new Malibu. It appears to have the GM chrome-tech wheels. They have been using this chrome hubcap since 2001ish. The second picture really shows how it's just a hubcap.

Put a good sealant on them, after that they will be easily cleaned with soap and water - no spray cleaner needed.

Yup its for the Malibu, I had to pull them off the car in order to get them cleaned up. After about an hour and a half they look like new again. I threw some Meg NXT Tech Wax 2.0 on them while they were off.

FYI clay works wonders in getting them clean with no scrubbing.

The DP Gel Wheel Cleaner & the DP Wheel Glaze works great for cleaning and protecting the wheels. I like to go the extra mile and spray on some Optimum Opti Seal last.
