I've only found a chicago pneumatic random orbital mini sander.

I was at a local body shop today to have them fix somethings, guy pulled out this mini polisher/sander, stuck a 3000 grit pad on it, then a foam pad, and so on... Called them back and the guy didnt know what brand it was.

I'm trying to find this tool with some various grits of sandpaper discs, I've had no luck but to find the previously mentioned one. Anyone point me in the direction of where I might find the tool and various sanding/polishing accessories?

Any help is greatly appreciated, search on the forums didnt come up with any answers...

Griot's Garage sells one. AG does not carry it you have to go to their main site and look under car care , polishing tools.

Thanks, that brings me to one other question.

Would you or anyone looking at this recommend me sticking with a mini random orbital or a orbital?

Would I be fine using a orbital for paint imperfections?

These are the 2 I have found so far...

Amazon.com: Chicago Pneumatic CP7200S Mini Random Orbital Sander Kit: Home Improvement

This one is labeled as a sander and looks like it is spinning really fast at 15000rpm...

And this one looks more oriented to car care...

dynabrade is the ####! We use tons of dynabrade products at work, and they are very durable. The cheapy chicago pnuematic and other low to middle grade tools never last very long with the kind of constant use we put them through... Dynabrade x100! let me know if you would like me to find out what supplier we use to buy them from.

Ingersoll-Rand,CP and Dynabrade all make one and the sand paper and wool pads are 3M. I have the I-R random orbital and fixed rotary and I use it for polishing wheels and for hard to reach spots.

you can buy the kits from snap-on or matco as well...They cost about $150..There are two versions of them..One is a random orbital and the other is a rotary..Make sure you buy the buffing kits and not the sanding kits because the RPM is high on the sanding kits. Also, Chicago Pneumatic, Ingersol-Rand and Astro Pneumatic sell them as well. I have the CP version, the Blue-point version and the Dynabrade version..Dynabrade is the best as the CTS-VEO said but if you are not doing production work, the other ones are fine. Also, look up a site called mechanicstoolsupply.com..They have different versions and they even have an Astro Pneumatic one with 3" & 1.5" backing plates and pads..I use the straight rotary versions for buffing and the random orbital one for sanding...The trigger on my Blue-Point is much nicer and causes less fatigue on my hand than the other ones. The speed control is also placed in a way that you can adjust it much easier while working. If you go to Snap-On's website, you'll find it there. Let me know what happens and good luck...
