Pocket hose copper bullet

I have one and I tried it last week. So far so good. The fittings are good and solid and it has a shutoff valve. I used the first iteration of this type of hose a few years ago and it was a disaster. It literally blew up in my face. I did eventually get my money back.

I have the older version without the shut off and it's working great. More reinforcements at the ends would be nice, but still holding up over a year.

Got tired of lugging around a heavy rubber hose in and out of my storage room.

We've been getting the same tv spot, I'm curious as well, it looks much more manageable than my current one, especially in winter, when it doesn't like unrolling unless it's left in the sun for a while.

I've about decided I need a new hose, after the 30 YO rubber one sprang another leak earlier this spring. The expandable hoses have a certain attraction, but I wonder about longevity over more than a year or two. Just BTW, it is available to fish out of the Big River for less $ than direct, though it isn't shipped from the Big A ..

I've got a similar one I bought off of Amazon a couple years ago. It's nice and light, easy to move around and never kinks. The down side is it snags on bushes and landscaping pretty easy. I picked up another one at our local Sam's Club last summer that's a little more durable and a little heavier duty and I like it a lot better. Both are much lighter and easier to drag/manipulate across long distances than a traditional rubber hose.

For sure. I am currently working with a 100' Gilmore that has been ok. Driveway is in back of the house and water spigot is on the side. I often wonder if money would be better spent just having a plumber put a spigot out back where I wash. I also have a 50' Craftsman rubber hose in storage. That hose was awesome.

Lot of 1star ratings on Amazon. I have used different versions for last 3 years. Last me about 2years.

I got one for my birthday, absolute garbage and a waste of time,

The paid for actors did it for me.

Had one that was 100 feet and hated it.
It was impossible to pull it along a concrete driveway, it held onto the concrete like velcro.
The outer jacket held every bit of dirts and was not easy to clean off.
After using it for awhile it would no longer return to its original length, it probably returned to maybe 60% of its original length.
If I wrapped it around a garden hose holder and only unwrapped it a couple of loops to say fill a bucket, it would expand and fall off of the holder.
It just turned into a pain in the butt to use so I went back to a regualr hose and hose reel

my girlfriend bought a similar expanding hose that blew up on me. my zero-g has been going strong for 4 years and it sits outside all summer.

I bought a 50 foot one from ollies for $15 that isn't supposed to kink. Seems to work fine.
