Polaris Slingshot - Very cool!

The night we buffed out the 1954 Hudson using the new Rupes UHS System my buddy Ron had just returned to town with his brand new Polaris Slingshot so I had him drive it into our studio and I took a few pictures.

He says in the sun the paint has swirls and he'd like some help removing them and also asked what to use to take care of all the pebble textured black plastic and the rubber seats.

Kind of hard to photograph something red and black on a red and black floor but here's what did get...

Cool. Pretty sure I saw him at the Home Depot yesterday morning with it. Didn't know what it was! Very cool!

I sat in one at SEMA. I would love one. It uses a GM 4 cyl from the Pontiac Solstice. I'm pretty sure those some of those were factory with a turbo. I can't wait to see a turbo sling shot.

Sure does look cool on paper, and unlike the T-Rex the Slingshot uses a proven, low-maintenance automobile engine (GM Ecotec, same as in most small domestic GM cars like the Cobalt, Cruze, etc.).

It won't win any races, but it sure is cool as ice!
