For those of you who have used both which one do you find better?

I finally used Poli-Seal a few days ago, and it is a pleasure to work with. Very nice shine as well. Not sure what I can expect for durability though.

I have yet to try GPS, and was just wondering if it is any better than Poli-Seal?

When I say better I mean does it have more correcting ability, and does it last longer?

Quick question on the Poli-Seal, were you having any issues with a dirty pad?

I did on the fly cleaning with a terry cloth towel, and after 1/3 of the car the pad was leaving think spots of product that had to be wiped off, and it took quite a bit of force. I grabbed another fresh white pad and was having the same issues towards the end of the detail.

I did not have that issue. I clean my pads with compressed air and have no issues. I did however switch pads often. I used 4 orange pads by the time I was done.

Could also be a case of to much product.

Thanks for the reply- the pad got dirty, despite my cleaning. Seemed to gunk up, I was amazed how much crap it was removing, even AFTER using clay! I'll need to use more pads next time, it was working well, no dusting, and I was seeing about a 50% correction with a white LC pad on a PC. Jumping to orange would help, but I really just wanted to test the durability and gloss for the time being.

Sorry for the thread hi-jack, back on topic now Im the MAN

Had the exact same problem as you did.poli was incredibly hard to remove after the pad got a little dirty but when I used a fresh pad, poli was an amazing product

Op, I got about 2 months protection for the poli on a dd stored outside. The biggest hangup I had besides the gum up problem mentioned earlier was the lack of cut. Chris said that you can throw some opti polish with the poli and get more cut as needed. I've read the gps is decent but haven't read rave reviews about it. One thing to consider is that these are one steppers and longevity / perfect results aren't going to happen. I like how easy poli applies and barely has to be whipped off.

Hey, just curious, how do you clean your pads with compressed air? Is this after or before soaking in some sort of APC or other 'pad cleaner' solution? Do you hit the pads on an angle/

Tx

I just angle the air gun at the middle of the pad, turn on the polisher and work my way out with the air gun. You would be surprised how well an air compressor works.

No mess? No gunk flying all over the place?

The gunk definitely flys out, but I wouldn't call it a mess. I wouldn't stand right next to the car and do it though.
