My right headlight had scuffs all over it from the wreck at mid-ohio last year, so i used my 3M Headlight Restoration Kit on it. (same thing i do on cars)

500 grit sandpaper

800 grit sandpaper

3000 grit sandpaper

Polishing pad with polish provided in pack

PlastX wax

Took ever single scuff off the headlight and ony thing left was one Very small, but deep, scratch!!! VERY pleased!!!!!

I did not have to worry about scratching/sanding the yellow plastic piece around the headlight b/c thats getting replaced b/c it got very scratched in my wreck.

here are the results, in the order i posted above... (i forgot a before pic...)

After i got that done, i noticed on the plastic around my headlght, that the polishing pad took off some of the scuffs on the yellow plastic, so i used the polishing pad and the headlight lens polish on a small spot of the plastics on my bike that had A LOT of scuffs from the wreck, check out how good it did. So i may be able to save a lot of the yellow parts of my factory plastics!!!!

Notice the clean circle in the middle of the pic!!!!

Was the 3000 grit on the drill or by hand???

on the drill. its a foam pad with 3000 grit on the front face of it!! works awesome!!!!

i highly recommend removing any headlights before doing this b/c it can take paint away of surrounding metal or plastic!!!!
