I have a 2009 F-150 and the color is Razor Red w/tinted clearcoat (they call it Red Candy this year). Being that it's a tinted clearcoat, do I have to be concerned about changing the color of the truck by polishing it, especially if the panels are not polished evenly?

Thanks.

No, it's just like polishing any other clear coat. I've worked on a few tinted clears (black Lexuses...or would it be Lexii? :P)

My S2000 also has a red tinted clear coat...which is extremely soft and a huge pain in the arse. On an F150 there shouldn't be any problems since Ford paint is usually pretty hard....the only real difference is your pads will turn pink.

Our CTS has tinted clearcoat and polished many times without issue. Infact the polishing helped the color standout even further.
