About 2 years ago my wife and I discussed the condition of her headlights . We talked about it I suggested that she pick up one of those restoration kits when she had the opportunity. She came home with a hand polishing kits. I went through the process and everything came out good, except around those darn little I guess we'll call the molding nodes for the lack of a better term. Those little plastic do dads that stick out from the lens.
About 6 months ago I painted her hood because of all the rock chips she had collected. Now every time I look at the great paint job, cut and buff, I can't help but see the areas around those nodes I couldn't polish and they just look bad.
The question and the hold point, is there any reason I can't sand those little buggers off and polish the lenses again. I don't see any reason for them being there other than maybe installation during manufacturing.
Whether it matters it's a 99 Toyota Corolla.

Those pointy things are for a headlight alignment fixture. You can grind them off if you'd like.
