Polishing over decals? Can u do it?

Wondering if you can polish over decal stickers on trucks or do u have to tape them off?
 
It depends on whether you catch an edge not. You could have problems, it could go OK. Best thing to do is do that area by hand with the polisher pad after , or tape it off
 
I was curious the same thing about pinstripes. I normally avoid but today I light went over them with a padbby hand. Seem fine.

If the decals have some shine to them you should be fine. My Jeep has a big semi gloss decal on the hood and it turned out good.
I did not stay on it long and was careful with the edges.
I polished it mainly because I was coating the whole car. The decal took the coating well also.
 
Chopper I too have the hood decal on my Jeep but I didn't do it for the reason that the above said: it's more of a matte
