I have looked everywhere and can't get an answer.

I have a set of freshly powder coated wheels that need some correction.

If they were painted, I could fix, but they are powder coated.

There seems to be a fair amount of orange peel that, normally, I would sand out and compound/polish out the resulting scratches.

Not sure the powder coat would react the same way.

Powder coat is not paint, it's a baked on coating.

Anyone have any experience or knowledge too share?

PS : Pictures won't help as is classic orange peel and super shiny already.

Orange peel in powder coating can be reduced/improved with wet sanding and compounding. It would be complicated by non-flat surfaces of a wheel, however.
