Polishing silver

Would jeweling silver metallic with a polish like GG Perfecting Cream, Menzerna SF Plus 3800, Xtreme Solutions FINISH 'ER, etc., be worth it? Would it even be noticeable?
 
I think it really matters how much metallic is in the paint. Here's the thing though, YOU know you did the most you could do and that's all that matters

I’m not sure you’d notice it on a silver but then again, it depends on what you were using prior to the jeweling pass too. Was it a one-step product and pad that finishes down real well? And as Klasse mentioned, depends on how much metallic in the silver. You might not notice a difference but it would at least be worth trying an area to determine if you can notice a difference. Maybe do half the trunk or hood to see if you can honestly notice a difference. If not then maybe finish the other side of the panel and move on to your LSP (last step protection). Otherwise, if you do notice a difference, you did the same as any other part of polishing, do a test spot to determine what steps you should take to correct and get maximum gloss with the least amount of effort required.
 
Let’s start by what process are you doing? Compound and polish?
 
Wouldn't hurt to try like Roger said.

However, Silver metallic might be a tough color to get that final "WOW" on.

My truck is a lighter gray metallic, and even with getting the paint as perfect as possible with polishing, I have not found the "jeweling" process to make much difference. (If at all).

That said, there are some LSP's that magnify the metallic better than others in the right light.
 
If it's anything like the silver metalics I've seen on the newer Rams you could REALLY make that metalic look like it's almost moving on the paint!

I have some GG FCC and 3D One along with LC orange, Rupes yellow, and B&S 50/50 Uro-fiber pads. I do have some soft finishing pads but no finishing polish.

Since silver doesn't pop like dark paint, I didn't know if jeweling with a fine finishing polish such as GG Perfecting Cream, Menzerna SF Plus 3800, Xtreme Solutions FINISH 'ER, would make a noticeable difference in gloss. If not, I'll stick with what I have and not bother ordering any finishing polish.
 
Do you own any other polishes besides what you have?

You could follow up with a primer polish as the silica will cure and give a glossier look. Even on silver.
 
If you think you’ll ever detail other cars and even for your silver one, I’d probably recommend picking up Griots PC since it is good and relatively inexpensive but any of the polishes you mentioned should work (not familiar with Xtreme Solutions). And pick up a polishing pad like the Rupes white though the yellow would probably work well too as long as it isn’t soft paint.
 
Silver has its moments. Polish as good as you can.

I’d say go for it. Worst case is a little time and product is lost. Then you can decide if it’s worth it.

The Challenger above looks great, and The Guz has some beautiful silver paint on his Grand Prix as well.
