Would using a random orbit machine such as a porter cable 7424 and a white/orange/yellow foam pad be at all effective on stainless steel? Talking about an already polished stainless surface such as on a refigerator or other appliance, that is indoors and sees more chemical oxidation from oily dirty hands rather than scratches.
The other I am interested in is on polished uncoated aluminum, that has already been sanded out using up to 1000 grit followed by a sisal wheel to get a mirror finish... as the mirror clean finish fades over time wondering if a polishing or cutting foam pad would be effective using an appropriate polish or compound (light cut or heavy cut)
