I have a Silver 2013 WRX so i know the paint is considered soft.

Once this weather gets nicer i plan on doing a full detail of my car. So my question here is with polishing.

After the wash/clay steps i was thinking of using some m205 with a white or orange pad. After that I was considering using DG 101 after that for a little extra shine and then adding some colli 845 after.

Would i be okay with just doing the 205 or would adding DG 101 be overkill/pointless?

The paint is in good condition, just need to take out some scratches and stuff from the winter.

You could get away with going from Megs 205 to your Coll 845, however, here's what i would do. I would do a test section of 205 and a white or maybe even a black pad depending on your paint condition and relative softness. Get the swirls/scratches/imperfections out that you want to correct. Then do that same test area with DG101 and see if it makes any improvement in what you see. If not? Don't bother with that extra step. If it does go for it. It is rare for me to do anything after 205 and even then it might just be a softer pad.

If you do go for the DG101, i would be tempted to let it sit a bit before laying down some Collonite on top. I would wait until the next day or the first wash to add Coll.
