Polishing tail lights

I'm new to forum but not cars. I recently bought a 01 Corvette and noticed the tail lights are dull and not mirror shiny like I've seen on some. I purchased Meguiar's PlastiX and applied it using a microfiber towel. It improved, but still has the dull haze to it. Any suggestions on polishing it to glossy shine? and best way to maintain it.

I believe you will have better results using a buffer. I know auto geek sells the drill attachments so you can buff using your drill.

I've found that it's so much easier to
polish, and seal, the C5's taillight lenses
when they're removed from the vehicle.
