Pontiac G8 rubber strips on the roof

What would be the best product to use on these? The car is red and my friend has been using Turtle Wax ICE. But the strips are starting to look pretty worn from the UV. Would you tape off the strips to be sure the wax didn't get on them and use a specialized product on the strips or just be sure the synthetic wax got a good coat on the strips?

If you like OEM matte look would use CG natural shine or if you into a loud shine the try useing CG V.R.P but before you go putting dressimg on put apc on a microfiber and clean the rubber trim or plastic and i would tape of the triming when waxing or sealing or just be extra careful around there but if you do get some product on the trim use wd-40 and it will remove the wax or sealent you got on the trim
