I bought a bottle of PBBH dark glaze. Is there a problem using the glaze and then covering it with #26. Or would it be better to start with Meguiars 205 White lake country pad then PBBH & then #26. The car is in good shape swirl wise. Just thought that using the 205 would clean any of the old wax off for a fresh finish. What are your ideas ? And while I have both is the liquid or paste better in the Meguiars #26 Hi-Tech Yellow Wax. Thanks for your reply. Mike or anyone else!

I personally wouldn't worry about the M205 before PBBH. The only time I'm really worried about getting the previous stuff off before applying a new coat is if I'm product testing, or if I'm really wanting a good surface to lay the foundation for a much more durable sealant or coating. Neither PBBH or #26 are long-term products so I wouldn't put myself through more abrasive steps that may be redundant. As long as PBBH is covering up the swirls then it's doing its job, I think it's going to look great with #26 on top. I've never used the paste version though.

In this case: It's which of the forms---liquid or paste---that you prefer whenever applying an LSP. Meguiar's has stipulated to their formulators that both versions contain the same amount Wax.

I personally know that M26 works famously with a pure polish such as M07...with the same expected life-cycle as other Hybrid-Waxes.

It's quite possible you can obtain the same results with
Poorboy's Black Hole as (I'll call it) the base product.
