Hey everyone. I had some free time tonight so I decided to do a little work here and there on my Jeep. As many of you know, the fender flares are very susceptible to fading... mine were. I know that dying or painting is the only way to make them look their best but I figured using Poorboy's Trim Restorer wouldn't hurt. I did three coats over an hour, wiping off excess after about a 10 minute soak time. I applied a coat and then let it sit while I polished the door. Well enough talk and I'll let the pictures tell the story:

That's awesome. Thanks for taking the time to write this up. I have a Jeep too but luckily the fender flares are painted to match the body. I've been using PB Trim Restorer on the other black plastic parts of the Jeep with great results. The Jeep was the main reason I bought PBTR. I have a friend that has a Jeep with flares that look just like yours (before) and I'm dying to get at it.
 
Thanks, I'm thinking about either painting them or just getting new ones... but for the time being TR will do the trick :).

What is the durability supposed to be like with the product?

I sort of want to get the DG rubber and flat black dressing, since I can just pick that up locally.

Trim Restorer was made to ... well... restore trim :). So if you have wax build up, fading, grimy trim, this product would be great. It leaves a nice finish that restores the original look of the trim. As for the durability- not too positve... I'll try to keep you updated.

In all honesty, I don't expect these results to stay for a long time... the plastic is very porous and I expect the product to be soaking into the fender flare over time. But who knows, time will tell.
 
That did a good job. Have you ever tried 303 on them. They list Jeep fender flares as an example of what their product can do.
 
Great review, I really like the pictures. It's amazing how the pictures help.

Keep us posted on the durability, regardless of durability it looks great and fo rus Geeks it's not a big deal re-applying....well at least I feel that way.
 
Haven't tried Poorboy's trim restorer yet, but I think it's a nice product. Keep us updated with it's durability. Wanna know it's durability before ordering some.
 
As far as durability I used it on my Jeep three weeks ago and all of the black trim still looks good. I will touch it up again on its next wash this weekend. This is the first product that has had any durability on this Jeeps black trim and I've used all sorts of things over the years. Keep in mind I did not use it on fender flares so I'm interested to see how it holds up on parts like that.
 
I've been using this for a few months on the fender flares/plastic trim on my Colorado, and it definitely does a nice job. Durability has been pretty decent IMO. Nice pics!
 
I did a jeep in worst condition then yours. i first taped up the finder then I took some AIO a 4 inch orange pad,and set the rotary on 1 and went to town. After two passes I applied the trim restore they looked like new!
 
Budman...I tried TR last year on my bumpers and mirrors and after a rain I got streaks...did you seen any thing like this...I am just curious...the product did make it look good..but the streaking killed the effects after a rain...
