I'm very tempted to purchase both 128oz White Diamond & Black Hole Show glazes, but I want a little feedback on the product. Do they really preform a huge difference on white/black vehicles as advertised, or gimmick. I been very satisfied with all of the Poorboys products thus far, any experiences would be appreciated, since samples are no longer available.

Here's a write up I did on Detail City for White Diamond, haven't used the Black:

In October I won the Poorboy's give away and chose White Diamond Glaze. There are no pictures so get over it, I don't have the skills or the camera to show the before/after difference so I will simply describe it.

My car's paint is called Blizzard White Pearl and it was in need of a full machine polish. Due to illness, long term company,Thanksgiving, Christmas, and other things I was just not in the mood to deal with it. Enter White Diamond........

Initially I chose Klasse AIO (it was at hand) to chemically clean the hood and prepare it for the Poorboy's product. The sun was not beneficial to scoping out the hood so I used halogen lights and a Brinkmann gun to look at the hood after the AIO. It was quite the mess......a zillion little marks from using QD's and haphazard washing over the calender year....my fault. As you get older you get lazier, sorry. I applied the White Diamond, let it take a set, and wiped it down with a quality microfiber towel. Then I went back on the "find the marring" trail with the halogens and the Brinkmann. Guess what? They were 90% disguised! I hit it again with WD, gave it a few minutes, and wiped it down. HMMMM, a bit more improvement. I'd say 95% were hidden now. I was elated! What a deep wet shine, WOW.

I went over the hood with Ultima Paint Guard Plus to lock in the Poorboys's White Diamond and retired for the day. The next morning I broke out the halogen & Brinkmann again to give it the once over with the old eyeballs. The look was simply spectacular! I give the vast majority of the credit to the White Diamond and the UPGP sealed it in offering a tad more shine and slickness.

In short I consider the White Diamond Glaze a superior product. The results were so phenomenal that I can't wait to use it after a full machine polish to bring the surface to its full brilliance. This did so well on a "not so hot" surface that the results on a correctly prepped surface will be nothing short of totally amazing. I can, and indeed do, recommend this product.

Thank you Steve for the product, both in the fact that I won it, and that it's so damned good! Impressed I am, yes (in Yoda voice).
All was done by hand this go 'round.

After that It doesn't seem like any more endorsements are required. I may have to give the Black Hole a try on my spousal units car. :dblthumb2:

I really liked the Black Hole when I tried it on my emerald green metallic paint. That's all I've used it on so far.

Black hold did wonders for the neighbors maroon subaru. Great to fill in lots of little spiderwebs without breaking out a DA.

I've used black hole on my black GT Mustang a few times. It goes on and off extremely easy and does a great job of filling in the small imperfections. However, since it's just filling and not fixing a few washes later and the imperfections are back...

I've got a near full 128oz White Diamond (used maybe an oz) that I'm willing to trade if you're interested?

Hey Scott,

Yes, it will indeed wash away after a few washes if it is not protected. That's why we strongly recommend topping it with either a sealant or a wax and it will last as long as the wax does on the paint :dblthumb2:

The only people we have found that don't top it with a wax or sealant is people that have garage queens and just drive to and from shows and don't let water touch the car lol.

I own two black vehicles and have gotten great results with Black Hole Glaze. It fills most anything that I may have missed during the polishing stage. It is pretty thick, so it can be a little challenging laying down a thin, even coat, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy to do. Like others have said, be sure to lock it in by topping with a sealant or wax, preferably a sealant.

It has no longevity unless you seal or wax it. Glazes, for the most part, are only for looks. Protection is not part of the scheme so it must added after the glaze.

I really like the slickness and wet look Black hole gives my mustang

IS white diamond something you would apply instead of a polish like WG polish enhancer or the Pinnacle cleansing lotion?

Hey Chris,
What sealants and waxes are these glazes compatible? There is a separate glaze thread asking about glazes over waxes and sealants in process. Maybe you can comment?

I'll put it up here as well

BH/WD seem to be compatible with most LSP's. This is mainly becasue it is a neutral PH. We haven't run into a problem with any LSP that people have used with it. No complaints so far :dblthumb2:

Chris,
Sorry, I should have been clearer with my earlier post. I immediately topped Black Hole with Menz Power Lock. Maybe I topped it too soon or applied it wrong? There's seems to be quite a few threads lately about Black Hole, I'll check those out and hopefully improve my method!
Thanks!
Scott

Hey anzwhip,
Cool what type of product would you be interested in?? I have 32 XMT intermediate swirl remover/polish/glaze in 32oz never opened, and other goodies!

Do you really need to get the white diamond if you purchase the Black hole already? Isn't it glaze is a filler for clear coat which is "CLEAR". I really don't get why have a White Diamond for light color vehicle when All you need is the Black hole which probably have more fillers. Just a question.
