I recently had to trade in my 2004 Purple ( Cosmo ) GTO, but I picked up a 09 G8 GT in Silver. More because I got a good deal on that color.

It had been on the lot for months, so the paint was cured. So, I tried the usual Pinnacle Cleansing Lotion, Liquid Soverign topped with Crystal myst. It looked better, but just didn't make the metal flake really sparkle. So, I tried PBW's White Diamond Glaze this past weekend and repeated the same steps. WOW what a difference. Before the color had a flat gray appearence and you could see the metal flake, but only in rather narrow angles of view. Afterward, the metal flake catches your eye before the color.

Great Job Pinnacle and Poorboy's. I'll post pictures in the next day or so.

I have found that metal flakes seem to be amplified when using a good polish system (think Menzerna) and then a coat of Pinnacle SSII or Wolfgang Fuzion.

Wheres the pics ??

Are you worried about resale value with Pontiac closing up next year ?? I was thinking about buying a new daily driver and G8 GXP fits the requirements rather well but 35k after discounts and a value that might plunge like Oldsmobiles did scares me. I do believe warranty work with be done out of all GM dealers starting first of year. (ie Cadillacs repaired at Chevy and vice versa)
