Poorboy's World Detailing Weekend 2013

Poorboy’s World is proud to announce our 2013 Detailing Weekend June 8th & 9th.
Event to be held at our warehouse , 210 West Nyack Road, West Nyack, NY
Vehicle space will no longer be limited with our expansion, but please sign up early on this thread so we can get an actual count. We would like to invite on-line people, from any site, as well as local people.
Please feel free to post this on any other boards / forums you frequent.
One of our goals is to put faces to the names we talk to on-line. We use the weekend format so there is time for personal interaction and instruction. This year brings some changes with an introductory class to all our products in our new showroom. Many people want to share how to use the products and machines to their fullest extent, so we are also having swirled and damaged hoods to learn or practice on supplied by our neighbors at the body shop . Individuals and families are welcome!!

Cost
A $25 per car space for 1 or both days, if you bring a second car it's $25x2 and a $10 food & drink fee for passengers.

*Clay, Pads and towels will be available for sale at the show.
- If desired, bring your own lawn chairs and sunscreen.
- PLEASE LEAVE ALL OTHER PRODUCTS AT HOME
- At the end of the day, please clean up after yourselves.

While many of you may delight in comparing detailing products from various manufacturers, please keep in mind that this weekend is being sponsored by Poorboy's World. This is an opportunity for everyone to try Poorboy's World products and get personal hands-on help with our detailing questions. So, it would be considered good manners to stay on topic by focusing our attention on Poorboy's World products for the duration of this event

FAQ Is the goal to Detail Each and Every car exterior?

After meeting and greeting this year we will have an into to Poorboy's World products and their uses, followed by a question and answer time. We will then give a brief tour of our new facilities and move on to machine demonstrations,
as well as claying and possibly wet sanding too. Everyone else who does not participate in the class and tour, will be detailing their own car. Some people will be here just for helping others...it's a great opportunity to watch other people and how they get their results. Pockets & I will walking around and will try to help.
We would like to see everyone leaving at the end of the weekend with a shiny car, so we can take pictures and then share with the rest of the on-line communities.

There will be more information as we progress and all suggestions pertaining to the event are welcome!

I had a great time last year and got to shake hands with Steve and Chris and hook up with a couple of members to boot! Poorboy's World just expanded and I expect the 2013 weekend will be spectacular!! :props:

1) Poorboys, awesome companny
2) The Nyack N.Y. area in general is pretty beautiful, right near the hudson, very nice area, lots of small fun bars and great restaraunts!

Have fun if you go, I'm jealous......(Nyack is my old home town)

We are glad to have all the room we will need for the weekend!

Thanks for all the kind words guys

Can I just send you $25 for the line of Poorboy's Products?

People coming to this event are getting a steal!!!

I was at the event last year and also marked my calendar to attend this year. I use ProPolish 2 on most of the cars that i detail.

I will bring my tent with me.

Ed

I'd like to come just to help attendees achieve their detailing goals, and of course for the....

I'm going to try to get 1 of those days off. Sure sounds like a great day. Hope to meet some members too.

Hey Pockets, I'm not sure I'm understanding the "rules". If you come up for both days, it's $25, or is it $25 per day?

In the past when you had less room we were able to park outside the fence (and not work on our cars) and hang out inside the fence--is that still an option? Does the $10 charge apply in that case?

Now that you have the expanded facility, is there an air-conditioned area inside that you will let attendees into, in case we have another one of those heat-stroke days like at the dealer years ago (I think you were in Jr. High then so you may not remember that one)?

Sectec last year it was hot and if you wanted to cool off you were able to go inside. Steve even gave BobbyG a tour of the facility. The new showroom looks good from the outside. I went on a Saturday but they were closed.

Setec you can always come and hang out if you would like..... it's $25 dollars for the weekend you can come both days or just one day. The $10 is for any additional passenger that comes in the car or if you want to just come and attend without working on your car.

It sure was hot last year haha ....... with all the new room we have you can always hang out in the showroom with the AC =)

It's getting close to the weekend! Remember registered attendees get first preference on wash bay and shady spaces =)

So what's the deal? Nobody signing up here?

Hey Pockets...How's the attendance look in total from all the different forums you've posted this on?

I want to come as an observer slash helper slash hot dog eater. I don't want to be the only one eating hot dogs.
