Does anyone know how Poorboy's World Wheel Sealant works on aluminum rims that are clear coated? There are a few fine scratchs that are not through the clear coat. I would like to cover and hide the scratchs and add to the gloss of the clear coat. Is this the right ptoduct for the job? Thanks, Lonnie

It won't hide the scratches. But it is a great product that is easy to use, and looks great.

Yup if they are clear coated it doesn't really matter whats underneath slap some on and never use a harsh wheel cleaner again Im the MAN just your soapy wash water :dblthumb2:
It will also give you that gloss/shine you are looking for

:iagree: you could try a polish on the rims depending on how deep the scratches are but WS will just coat the wheels it will not hide or remove the scratches

The Poorboys works great ! Once treated you just hose off 90% of the brake dust !

Ive used it on my uncoated wheels too with no ill effects.

Thanks for all of your great responses. They were very helpful. As I have stated before I am new to using a DA and this side of detailing. I do not want to make a msitake. Thanks again, Lonnie

Yes, we did this at a show on a BMW it had tons of brake dust (as they all do lol) and I filled up a spray bottle with water and hit the wheel and it came out practically clean without any scrubbing or anything just spraying water from a bottle the lady was amazed and sure enough got it for her BMW lol gotta love demos

Yes, there are numerous applications for WS as you know. I was just saying in his case he had clear coated so he can have whatever he wants underneath it and it will be fine :props:

Does the Wheel Sealant have any cleaners in it?

No, the WS is just a protector it has no cleaners or abrasives in it. That's why I was saying try using a polish like PB Pro Polish on the scratches depending on how deep they are in the clear.

I actually like to give the wheels a quick polish with the PP before I put the WS on just so I know its a nice fresh surface that I am applying to :buffing:
