So, I dropped my pc after cleaning a few pads, which is what I do with it most often, and polish glass. It developed a major wobble shortly after. I figured the spindle bearing went south. I just got the new one in and tore it down to replace it and discovered the spindle bearing is fine, it's the piece that houses the bearing that's got the major wobble.... Now what?
In the pic, I can flick the piece the tip of my finger is on and get at least a 1/4 inch of movement. The bearing I removed is tight as the new one. How to I repair this if anyone knows.

If anyone else runs into this, I've found a solution, for now anyway. The small center shaft in the bottom of the hole where the spindle bearing came out of can be tightened. It doesn't appear like it can, as it looks like a pressed on round sleeve over the center shaft, but I saw what appeared to be lock washer under it so I held the cooling fan in place with a screw driver in between the fins and finally got a bite on the perfectly round shaft down in that hole and it did tighten up like a nut, no more wobble.
I have no idea how tight it should be and I know it's only as tight as I could get it without forcing like a small socket, or trying to cut a groove in it for a screw driver, which i didn't want to chance tearing it up, but it's back together and working ok for now.
