Hi all,

It's been a while i've been on the forum and even more so when it comes to detailing. Just some quick questions regarding the PC 7424.

As it's been a while that i've used my PC. I don't remember the sound it originally made. But today when I tried to polish the trunk of my car the counterweight appears to be clanging against the side of polisher housing. Is that normal? Am I not putting enough pressure or holding the PC at an angle? It's even worse when I have to do vertical panels i.e. rear bumper or door.

2nd question is the velcro on the back of my pad came off. Can I just glue it back on? If so, any glue you recommend?

Thanks very much for the help everyone!

Check the screws that hold the counterweight. Put your hand on the head of the pc and that will lessen the noise.
Pads are cheap enough, just buy new ones.

Thanks surfer for the quick reply! I did check the counterweight and it seems to be on there pretty tight. When i move the counterweight it seems to move correctly in a circle, up ,down, and in every direction. I'm just afraid if i polish the whole backing plate and counterweight orbital mechanism may fly out.

Yeah buying new pads isn't a problem. I guess that's what i'll have to do. I just hate having to stop and wait a 3days to a week for it to come in. I feel like i have to start all over then. As it is i only have the trunk and rear bumper on my G35 complete.

Thanks again for your advice!
