Hello Everyone,

I have a client who is looking into some land I've found for him. It might be, more/less, about 1,000 Acres. My client wanted me to ask many different people in what kind of road racing course they wish to run on. The track could be around 3 miles. No NASCAR junk or drag racing. My client advised me if/when he does it, it will be full force racing. Car clubs, IZOD Indy Car, GT1 Racing, SCCA Events and so on.

What do YOU wish to see on a race track? Feed back please

Alot of overtaking zones and something wide enough for the Rolex and ALMS series to run on. Elevation changes are also very cool.

I know. I have talked to many people today about their tracks, good and bad things. How many Acres their tracks are and such. Talking to SCCA. I've been a very busy dude down here.

I've also ran across this site:

He and I will be going to CA and North Texas to see thier places and take some runs on their tracks. Im the MAN

The cherry on top would be a corkscrew ala Laguna Seca.Just make sure there are some good straights to highlight the power of those awesome machines.

I like some of the Laguna Seca track. In fact, I've already sold my client a NEW Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca. I also have a Ferrari Enzo lined up for him, PLUS, two other exotic rides.

The Boss is a sweet car but I'm not sold on the color schemes. Maybe take a little bit of some of the best tracks in the world and then adding your own original touch.

THAT is what we are trying to do and why I want to hear from everyone.

I love the European circuits. Those guys know how to do road racing.
Spa and Catalunya are my favs. I've spent many hours sim racing those tracks. Of course Nordschliefe is the dream track.

There was a guy here in North Carolina who sold a bunch of people on an idea to build a "country club" road race track. There would be two-story condos with large garages on the main floor and the owners and members would have a great deal of access to the track, much more so than normal track days provide. I sounded like a great idea, but it turned out that the guy was likely a sleeze ball (at least according to news accounts that I read). Your friend may be able to take some of these ideas and make it work.

Money is really not a problem to my client. Where we are located, Deep South Texas, everything is flat, humid and hot. lol Hotels, Shopping, meals, concerts and so on will happen at the place. My client is funding the whole thing himself. 2 other vehicles he is looking into is a Bugatti Super Sport and a Koenigsegg. I just do not think those 2 vehicles will be able to fit into this world down here. They will just be too fast.

First get your client a Mclaren f1, the things a beast :) Around where you live there's room for a ton of straights. You would draw nice crowds with scca, and club car events for sure, it really comes down to what kind of people he's trying to attract. Then build around his focus :)

Well, this whole thing has been put on hold. The racing commissions’ are the ones who have to survey everything. Also, they have to see if there are enough people in the Valley to help support it. There is a very long list of things that have to be dealt with. Also, THEY will be the one who will design the track. Not us.

I will keep each of you posted coming down the road.

That is the way it goes unfortunately. Miller Motorsports park is a nice facility and just a couple years ago, High Plains Raceway opened here after a long discussion/planning/etc. HPR is owned strictly by the local clubs so there is no "Big time" racing per say. Multiple car and motorcyle road racing groups use the facilities and the place is definitley busy. Good luck and keep the ibuprofen handy. Headaches are coming.

Well, my client is going to do the same thing if the deal does not go through. My client has enough money for anything. Im the MAN

Both facilities have websites and Miller has a "mini" version of the famed corkscrew. If the World Superbike Tour can run at Miller, it must be a good facility.

Your friend must be on the same lines as the now deceased owner of MMP, Larry Miller. Owned dealerships in UT,AZ, NM and CO, the Utah Jazz and a few other "things". I hope it gets done. I used to motorcycle road race and miss it. Have not tried it in a car yet, but I know how much fun it is.
Again, wish you guys the best of luck and be patient.
