I had my graphic designer create this for me and I am 99% solid this is the final product. What do you think of my minimalist design?

I want to hand-write personal thank you cards and perhaps send out to my good clients special offers to them in the mail. I figured it’s cheap enough to go the extra mile.

I like it but if you could find a way to get more of a reflection shot on the paint with that background it would be killer

How about a picture of you doing some kind of detailing thing?

Maybe wearing black nitrile gloves using a detail brush to clean an emblem?

You know, the Obligatory Pro Detailer Picture for Facebook and Instagram

Seriously... an action shot that tells the story about what you're all about when working on THEIR car.

A picture of car is a picture of a car.

The Obligatory Pro Detailer Picture is a picture that creates a Mental Image of

  • Detailing
  • Professionalism
  • OCDism
  • Carefulness
  • Overboard
  • Etc.

If that Porsche is still around, use the Porsche emblem to take the photo using some soapy car wash.

Just my 2 cents. I'm not a Marketing Expert. I'm also not a YouTube Influencer, so take anything I say with a grain of cyber salt.

:)

I am The Buffing Moose. Perhaps this is my obligatory pro detailer shot.

My friend took an ok shot here. Unfortunately, no one is ever around to take pictures of me. I suppose a $59 tripod wouldn’t hurt. In the mean time. I need to search around, I also have a picture of a soapy car somewhere.

Cyber salt. Nice one.

I like the one you posted Dan. Your customers know what you do, they do need any action shots.

i think you will waist your stamps, you should chase the clients you don`t have and you want , also include an offer , time frame , an attractive package , pictures are good but words carry the message.

don`t teach your existing clients with deals over deals than your service will get cheaper and cheaper and is how you will be recommended, than will be hard to go up to your prices...

I do agree with not offering your already regular customers discounts. For regular customers or customers that you're looking to make regular, a nice thank you and maybe a recommended time frame that they follow up for maintenance. Like the dentist office.

Don't discount unless you absolutely have to. I reeks of desperation and it forever lowers your pricing. I told my son when we started this business "you don't show up at somebody's house for less than $100. Every time you do, you ingrain in that customer's mind hey I'm the guy that does jobs for $50." It's hard to get somebody to spend $300 when you're the guy that does $50 work in their mind.

Well the thing that came to my mind when I looked at your card was on the "back" I LOVE THE SINGLE ANTLER next to the address lines! I thought that was pretty cool...being the detailing Moose. Nice, simple, effective touch.

Agreed with not having offered discounts to existing customer m but do love the idea of a hand written TY card. Does a lot for customer loyalty....

Card looks nice. Wouldn’t necessarily put yourself in the picture but making it more detail related makes sense.

A soapy car, polisher on the hood...make more sense but not necessary.

Love how its not busy but I think you need to fine away to make the car have more reflection in the pic. But over all it looks good. Mind me asking what your game plan is for these post cards?

Thanks for the feedback. The selection of the picture doesn’t bother me personally.

My plan was to send out hand-written “Thank you!” cards to existing clients. And since my business is small enough, my wife and I are going to do our own version of EDDM/Send Jim. Except more on a selective level. At least to test it out.

But overall, just to go the extra mile to say thank you. I feel that it’s something important that can mean a lot to my clients. It doesn’t cost much to do.
