Pouring liquid product from gallon bottles without spills?

When I buy new liquid product, such as waterless or rinseless wash, I usually buy it from AG in the larger gallon containers. From there, I'll pour the product into smaller spray bottles and what not. A lot of the time, I will only need an ounce at a time, but this is very difficult for me to do without spilling some of it.

How can I pull small amounts product out of these larger gallon bottles accurately and without losing any of it?

AG sells pumps to put out 1 oz at a time

Universal Dispenser Pump, Gallon Pump Dispenser, half gallon bottle pump
 
Use a funnel and pour some into smaller bottles that is easier to handle.
 
I was looking at the proportioner combo, but the reviews are them are fairly bad. The dispenser pump looks like a good idea.
 
Surprisingly the gallon pump from chemical guys is nicer than the one here at AG. Like Anthony said, it has fitment issues with some products.

I think I have a blend propointioner ( brand new), I'll look tomorrow and if I do you can have it at no charge if you want:props:
 
Yep, I've got a couple of the Chemical Guys Gallon Pumps on the way.

The Pro Fill Proportioner looks like a cool idea, but reviews don't sound very encouraging.
 
Someone years ago invented a tool for this. Now to remember what they called it... Oh yeah, a funnel!

But on a serious note, the pumps don't work well for thin liquids like ONR as they tend to leak after pumping. And I never liked the bottle proportioner, it was really finicky. I've since just used the wonderful tool that "just works", the funnel.
 
I use Funnel King Flexible Spout Funnels (.99 cents each) from a local Blain's farm and fleet store. It works well and screws onto the jug and has a slip over cap to seal.

If you got a medical friend, ask him for a 50cc syringe, and go to Lowes or Home Depot to buy a piece of PVC tubing to connect to it. Allows you to draw up exact amounts of liquid without having to tip the jug over at all, you don't need to buy a pump for each of your gallon jugs, easy to clean compared to cleaning the inside of a pump, and totally usable on any of your solutions.

Plus it's less than a buck to make since I can get he syringe for free, and the tubing is like loose change at the store.

If your medical friend can get a hold of a G tube connector, then it will be 100% free lol.
 
Turn the gallon container so that the opening is at the top and the handle is at the bottom, this is holding the handle section with your left hand and the opening at your right. This makes it easier to pour than trying to pour the normal way. Less liquid trying to rush out at one time. This is what I have found. I wished I had a picture of how I do this. I do pour into a small funnel when filling bottles.
Works the same way with gallon polishes as well.

Hmmmmm, a syringe sounds like a great idea. I may have to try that.
