I've seen a lot of people asking and posting about electric pressure washers the last couple weeks and I recently made a purchase that I am very pleased with.
Item: Powerworks electric pressure washer
Features: 1700psi, quiet induction motor, 2 soap tanks,5 spray nozzles, quick connect brass tip, hose reel, wheels
Background: I did a lot of research on what kind of pressure washer to buy since I wanted to use a foam cannon and this would be my primary use. I realized there wasn't really a "standard" brand for pressure washers and there wasn't one brand that was "the one" to buy. I loooked at AR, Greenworks, Karcher, Briggs & Stratton and some others. The AR's didn't come with a quick connect wand so I would have to make a seperate purchase which is more money spent. Greenworks had some iffy online reviews even though some members on here have had great results with them. I really wanted a Briggs & Stratton since I am a fan of their small combustion engines but they seem to lack and reputation for electric pressure washers. I was also looking to stay under $200
It's quiet. I have another 1700 psi electric pressure washer that is a lot noisier. This one isn't whisper quiet or anything but it doesn't reach that pitch where it hurt the ears or becomes annoying. Also it only turns on when the handle is squeezed.
Wheels. It has wheels and a handle to move it around and another handle so you can pick it up and carry it.
Electrical Cord and hose are long enough. I can wash my whole car and not have to move it around or from side to side. You could do a typical 3 bedroom ranch house as long as you have an outlet in the front and back of the house. The hose reels up so it's out of the way and it's not seperate or tangled up somewhere. The cord gets wound up and placed on the back of the machine and a piece of velcro secures is. Only downside is the velcro may not last as long as the machine but that can always be replaced. The hose can kink. It has a tendancy because when you unwind it from the reel it's got the snake coils going on so you just have to twist it a couple time to straighten it out. Hose isn;t the typical black you see but it's clear and has some sort of mesh inner either fabric or metal, can't tell. But it seems durable and all of the hose connections on all ends are brass and quality. Also the handle for the hose reel can be flipped up and lock the reel in place so it doesn't become unreeled.
You can see the snake coil going on in the hose when it's unreeled but a couple turns and it's fine.
No leak. Doesn't leak anywhere and maybe a drop or two by the hose connection but that's it.
The wand is metal on the inside plastic on the outside. Handle is easy to squeeze and it's not loose and has no "play" in it. There is also a lock too keep it from being squeezed. Very durable and the hose connection is in front of the hand which makes it easier to maneuver. Also this fits a foam lance right out of the box.
2 soap tanks. They go through the soap pretty quickly but I believe you can adjust that with the know you can see here. Just haven't tried it. With the soap nozzle it automatically draws the soap.
4 Nozzles. Jet, 20, 40, soap and the cone style. The cone style is the black longer one and is basically a jet that goes in circles. Very easy to clean with that one. You have all the nozzles you need.
Overall this is a great washer for the money. The psi is right for almost anything besides heavy duty jobs or far away washing areas that a 2000+psi washer is needed for. One downside is the wand storage.
It's meant to be stored like this:
But when the handle is collapsed down for storage the wand slips out because it's more narrow at the end and nothing to stop it.
So I just put it like this
Also I have never heard of the brand before but everything about this seems very solid and quality especially for $173. Nothing seems like it could break on it if you take care of your things. And if anything does it's pretty universal so a part can be ordered. The motor sounds strong and solid.
Also here is a picture of what it does with the foam lance
