Just saw a PPG product at my local Pep boys which looks and is promoted just like Aquapel. Is this the same product or a similar product?

It's a one time dispenser, costs about $8 and purports to last about 6 months. Anyone ever try this particular treatment?

Duh...just read the description of Aquapel on Autogeek..."Aquapel Glass Treatment and Glass Windshield Cleaner are made by PPG Industries..."

Okay, so why would the Aquapel name not be on the pep boys stuff??

Maybe they ordered the multi pack and broke them up for sale in error, but it is indeed the manufacturer of Aquapel.

Yes and it is still working well after 5 months. I like driving in the rain without the wipers on.

Hmmm.....I used it once and it only lasted about 4 weeks. Maybe I didn't clean my windshield good enough before application????

A local Ziebart undercoating/Rhino lining place charges $100 for a single application of this stuff!!!!! I bought the $8 applicator and did it myself.

What about the aquapel made by Zep cleaning products. Is it the same stuff?

Not the same stuff ...

Before applying AQUAPEL -Wash the glass, clay the glass, Polish the Glass with a glass specific product like GRIOT'S GARAGE GLASS POLISH and then apply Aquapel as your windshields LSP !

Bought 8 of them the other day at Harbor f for $4
