Prep for Carpro Quartz Lite on plastic exterior

Hi please can you give me advice on this.
It's black and is pitted and faded.

My thoughts were to restore it and coat it with Lite.

Solution finish topped with a trim sealant like solution finish over the top or Wolfgang exterior trim sealant.

Coating the trim will lock you out from restoring it in the future when it fades over time.
