So ive got a couple of issues to address before applying the CQuartz Dlux to the faded trim. Theres a white stain thats probably a bird dropping (but not sure) that I need to get off of the black trim, and some areas of the trim have some kind of protectant on it already (probably from the dealership) that I need to clean off.

So what products and steps do I need to take in order to get the trim ready for the CQuartz? I'd like to be able to purchase the additional products locally at one of he Auto stores or Wally World if thats an option...Thanks

Iv'e always scrubbed with an all purpose cleaner, wiped with h2o and then wiped with panel wipe (coating prep). You could probably omit the panel wipe. Just make sure it is dry before application

I like to use Meguiar’s 39 (heavy duty vinyl cleaner). And if your trim is faded you should use Solution Finish before you seal it with a sealant or coating.

Mother's makes a great trim and rubber cleaner. I would IPA before applying Dlux. Dlux is an excellent protectant, but will not even out the color like Solution Finish would.

If your looking to just add a little gloss and protection, then Dlux should fit your needs.
