Hi All,

Preparing to apply Aerospace 303 protectant on my car, it has had in the past some protectant like Armour All and I want to know If I need to remove what is there, and how I would go about removing and cleaning the surface before apply the 303 with an application pad mf.

Thanks for your replies;

Note: On a different topic, I used the 303 Upholstery cleaner on the car seats after vacuuming. I compared this product with something called Turtle-wax Oxy action Foam for carpet/upholstery. the winner? probably the Turtle wax, it did leave a scent though which i dont want so the 303 wins there.. but the Turtle Wax seemed to be more effective and leave the seats with a softer touch!

I would strip the Armour All stuff from the seats. I'm assuming you have cloth seats, try APC 1:4 diluted.

Hi again,

Sorry I did not explain what I wanted to do exactly.

I am planning to apply 303 Aerospace protectant on the dash i.e. NOT the seats. All the plastics etc inside the car. This has had treatment with armour all before.

I cant get APC I already placed my order with AG and have received it. I needed to order as little as possible, because of the extreme shipping costs via fedex 'express'!

Thanks again.

You can get APC in any auto store or supermarket. Just mix it to 1:4 water and your good to put 303 Aerospace.

Hope Im not on the wrong word here... APC, all purpose cleaner?

Yeah, if you can't get Meguair's APC+. People here like using Purple Power, you can get this pretty much any retail store.

I worked with Roger Dyer, the owner of 303 Products when I wrote this article.

How To Restore and Protect a Vinyl Top using 303 Products

While the focus of the article is on a convertible top, the information about safely cleaning and then using the 303 Aerospace Protectant is technically correct and would apply to cleaning and protecting any vinyl surface.
