Pressure washer advice

one , dont cheap out on pressure washers . check out the reviews if there r any . both of them do not have quick change spray tips which will then require a adapter in order to make a foam cannon work . i dont care for the all plastic spray wands. I'm pretty sure u can get adapter for the karcher , the clean force idk ? ag does have adapters for some pressure washers . I bought a greenworks brand from lowes no adapters needed . lots of good reviews . whatever u get if it don't have the quick change/release spray tips then make sure u can get an adapter then to make the foam cannon work .

If u don't mind my piggybacking on this thread, I have always wondered.....since I imagine a pressure washer will strip protectin, shoud it only be used for full details and not maintenance washes? I am in the market fo one, too.

Which greenworks did you get? I actually have the adapters for the foam cannon. I bought a set of 5 adapters for different pressure washers. I bought them from another website

I did my research on these quite a bit last month. You want to get the best one that fits your budget. My recommendation would be to get one that has a rebuildable pump and a high GPM. Most of the cheaper ones don't have a rebuildable pump and the cost to replace the pump is damn near the price of a new pressure washer.

I ended up getting this unit and couldn't be happier: http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200350617_200350617

A buddy of mine had the older version of this and he really likes it.

How do you like it so far? any issues?

Loving it. Look for future (at this point classified ) upgrades but will be based off this set up. So I would definitely purchase this set up a few times over. :dblthumb2:

Awesome. I just remember one of my friends is a manager at HD I just texted him. Hopefully he can get a discount on it.
Is the extra hose needed for sure or did you just opt to set it up that way?

Shop Greenworks 1700 PSI 1.4 GPM Electric Pressure Washer at Lowes.com this is the greenworks i bought, it already has the quick disconnect right out of the box. its been a very good pressure washer so far. :xyxthumbs:

same one I have .
while a foam cannon will fit on this with , I don't like how long everything is with the cannon on the end , tip heavy . so with the adapter that came with the mtm , I just unscrew the wand end off and screw the cannon end in then , cuts off about 2' of length . or u can just use the quick fitting connect if u don't care how long it is .

Thanks for all the help. Im still undecided but I am in no rush to buy it.
Any other advice or opinions are highly appreciated

thanks

My local post office has a change of address packet that you get when you move and need to change your home address/forward mail. Included in that packet is a bunch of coupons and advertisements for local businesses, one of which is a 10% off coupon for Lowes. Home depot accepts competitors coupons so you can use it at either HD or Lowes. Maybe that'll help stretch your budget a little bit. Good luck

Thanks for info, a discount is always good.

David,
I got this little AR for $69 at Woot the other day. I tested it out and it works well. Strong enough to wash the car and not damage it. It's QUIET and cute :)

Do you hook it up to a foam cannon? there was a couple of threads here were they were having issues hooking one up. whats the specs on that?

I don't have a foam cannon, i just have a regular foamer that uses the garden hose so i can't tell. The spec is pretty

The Specs is pretty weak compared to my Gas Power one.
1600psi/1.5GPM

the best thing about the electric is that it's QUIET. The pump only goes on when you press the trigger. Otherwise it doesn't make any noise. The Gas power PW i have is noisy as heck. Also the pump is constantly on and you must press the trigger w/in 30sec of it being on or you'll risk ruin the pump.

Well I'm in no rush to buy one I'm just going to continue doing some research and probably pull the trigger on one next weekend. I seen a brand new karcher on craigslist MSRP $170 for $120 doesn't sound too bad.
