Maybe you need to run some water through the system first to remove and loose filter media? Kind of like when you change the filter in you fridge ?

thanks. will try this when i get come.

Yes, it is. The AG system is a water "softner" not "de-ionizer". It won't remove all minerals from the water. The way it works is, it exchanges nasty calcium carbonate for less nasty sodium chloride. NaCl will still spot if left to dry (along with some other minerals), but it's easier to remove and won't etch paint badly like CaC03.

If you want something you won't have to dry, you need a system that removed all ions from the water, like a WaterStick, CR Spotless, or an Aqua Gleam (that's what I use). Either way, it should help a lot if you have hard water.

just a little idea. want to see if you guys agree.

i did not research enough before i made the purchase so i can't blame anyone. i just want a solution to this.

i am thinking if i can put the deionizer resin in the part after the softening process but before the pressure washer then i could possibly achieve a spot free rinse. right?

i am thinking purchase another empty canister from AG (because they look pretty nice) and get the resin. this way the add on cost would still be acceptable.

do u guys think this will work? can u help me brainstorm other possibility? thanks.

That system is meant to be used with cartridges. If you dump resin in one of those tanks, it will likely just shoot out with the water.

what if i put a filter to prevent the resin from leaving the canister. then it should work perfect?

I think Simeon here tried something like that once with a PVC pipe. The problem was there wasn't enough pressure coming out. But, if you get the right kind of screen and the right amount of resin it should work.

i agree with you. the filter from AG actually has very high flow allowance with 25 micron cartridge. and it is in an enclosed piping.

the hose pressure should be enough and i am using it with pressure washer. 1,4 gpm only. so it should be way enough.

anyone can chime in some suggestion with resin choices?
