OK, I take credit cards as a type of payment. I do it through paypal, and integrated it into my site. It is very simple for the customer. They simply log onto my site, click on payment options, and it takes them to a paypal page with my business name up top.

I detailed an SUV on Monday. The lady was pregnant and was in the hospital giving birth. We came to the conclusion that payment would be made with a CC when she came home later on that day. I left the invoice in the front seat and waited. Military family, her husband is an officer I believe, just came home from war, on the same day the baby arrive.

Anyways, I figured I'd give a day or 2. Kept checking, and nothing. I finally called and asked about payment, in which she said she had already paid.
I double checked the paypal account, and nothing. Just to make sure, I sent myself $1 to make sure it was working, to which it was. She said she has it on her CC statement as well.
When you pay me w/ a CC, you can print off a receipt, in which it has a Transaction ID #. She said she had the number. She is going to send it via email, but it's taking a while.

How should I go about this? I have ever had CC problems. If her statement says she paid, but she does NOT have a transaction # from paypal itself, what should be the next step I go with?

You would have gotten the money if she had paid. Done over 15,000 paypal credit card payments with no problems. If somehow she has it on her statement get a copy to paypal and straighten it out.

I was thinking that. Not sure she would give me a copy of her statement. Now about the transaction # she is talking about, not sure if it is the paypal tras. # or the CC trans #.

Out of curiosity, how does it show on a CC statement. I have a business paypal account, so will it show under my business name or paypal?

Logon to your Paypal account, click on the PROFILE link. Look for the
Payment Receiving Preferences link
There you find The Credit Card Statement Name option. This is the name that will appear on your customers' credit card statements.

maybe she typed in your user name incorrect and sitting out of site. Transaction # will clear that up easily as paypal can redirect or return and credit her. Just ask her nicely to contact credit card company as funds have not been received.

Not sure how it can be screwed up making a payment.

If anyone goes to my site, go to the payment options tab on the left side.
Then, scroll down and hit the button, "click here"

All she basically had to type in was here info, credit card # exp/ date, name, address, email addy, amount, etc.... and then hit enter. from there, it goes to a page where you get a printable receipt.

I am just waiting on her to send me info or call back with some sort of number so I can take further action. I am starting to get frustrated, but that won't solve anything....

Update, I am paid...lol

"Chris – I had actually used paypal to pay – for some reason it didn’t go through – I’ve tried again – let me know if you see it -

Regards,
"

Glad it all worked out, Chris!! :grouphug:

I guess with a new baby at home, she probably had other things on her mind than verifying that your payment went through okay :o
