I created a folder in the my albums section of my user cp but can't upload photos into it. Even though I selected the appropriate album they keep going to the members galleries section instead of my album. I've gotten it to work before but not today. WTF?

There doesn't seem to be an option for me to delete or move them from the members galleries section.

I work with a LOT of photos... as in a l-o-t of photos... :D

Here's a screen shot of the top of "My Albums" that I get to when I click on the GALLERY tab across the top of any forum webpage. (I don't ever access through User CP so I don't know if it's the same or not).

I create a new album
Then I locate that album in my list of albums
Then I click on the Upload Photos link to the right side of the screen
Then upload my photos
I also give each photo a name, description and keywords
(It's all the same thing so I copy and paste into the three different lines)

Works for me...

Thanks Mike. I finally got it to work using my smartphone but I was stumped using my desktop. Still struggling with the procedure I guess but now I've posted some crappy pics to the members galleries and I requested the webmaster to remove them for me.

Two of the most common problems people have when trying to upload a photo are,

Too large of a file size.
It's good netiquette to resize your photos before uploading

Incorrect file name.
By this I mean, a picture file name cannot have an empty space. Your computer might be able to recognize a photo using a file name with an empty space but a photo gallery will not. Here's what I mean,

This will work,

heresmypicture.jpg

This won't work,

heres my picture.jpg

See the empty spaces?

You can use an underscore like this,

heres_my_picture.jpg

or a dot like this,

heres.my.picture.jpg

But you cannot have empty spaces. See these articles...

You'll get it down.

Check out some of my tutorials. I wrote them based on what I've been doing since 2002 which is when I brought up my own PhotoPost Photo Gallery.

:D

When I click Gallery then My Albums I find all the pics I uploaded today. I would like to delete the ones that I inadvertantly put in the Gallery section. Is this possible?
