Product Review: CarPro Spotless

Introduction:
Ever since “coatings” have come out there has been one seemingly constant and nagging problem with them. Most of them bead water to such a degree that they have a tendency to create water spots as the water dries. On sealant and waxes most people were not as worried because you could polish it off and re-apply your wax. But with coatings you spent all that time and money on them and you really don’t want to have to strip it off and re-apply. Enter CarPro Spotless, a water spot & mineral remover developed specifically to do the job while still maintain the integrity of our coatings. When Spotless came out I knew that I needed to try it as my BLACK truck sits outside 24/7 while being coated. So the water spotting problems are very prevalent on the roof and hood.

Product Description / Claims: (From Manufacturer)
Spotless paint is a beautiful thing, but it is difficult to maintain in a world of hard, mineral-laden water without constant polishing. CarPro Spotless chemically breaks down the mineral deposits left behind by water droplets (Otherwise known as ‘water spots’) before they can etch into the finish, thus negating the need for time consuming abrasive correction, and prolonging the life of the paint. If left unattended, water spotting can cause permanent damage to the most resilient of vehicle surfaces, including automotive clear coat, bright work trim, and glass! Even sealants and coatings are not fully impervious to some harsh mineral deposits and can benefit from periodic chemical water-spot removal to keep them at the peak of their functional and aesthetic performance. Spotless’s proprietary blend of carefully balanced gentle acids safely removes heavy mineral deposits on most vehicle surfaces, and can even be used to help maintain our CQuartz line of nanotechnology coatings. If you are looking for a fast and efficient water-spot remover to dissolve unsightly bonded mineral contaminants from your car or motorcycle, CarPro Spotless is the solution to your problems.

Features:
  • Advanced balanced-acid formula safely dissolves hard-water deposited mineral residues before etching can occur.
  • Developed to quickly remove damaging water spots on both single-stage and clear-coated paint finishes.
  • Excellent for use on glass
  • Safe on chrome, stainless steel, plastic, and rubber trim
  • Compatible and safe for use on all CQuartz Nano-Coatings.

Pros:
  • It works…
  • Price
  • No need for compounding to remove water spots

Cons:
  • Acidic solution that can irritate skin and eyes.

Questions:
  • What happens if you don’t get Spotless totally neutralized or removed?

Final Thought / Summary:
Based on my testing Spotless is the real deal. It quickly and easily helps to remove water spots and minerals without the need to pullout a polisher. It is the first water-spot remover that works without a lot of scrubbing or elbow grease. In my opinion if you have a coating where you get spotting or just bad water spots on glass or your paint of your uncharted vehicle you need to try CarPro Spotless.

I also have some videos in process that I will add to this review in the future. Thanks for looking.

Great review!

I confess I 'knew' it would work, but this product was lacking a quality review like yours to assure it's efficiency and a walkthrough guide.

Thank you very much for taking your time doing this for us,

Kind Regards.

In our country, acid WS remover is very common, we use it on side windows, on crystalized/hardened dirts around the emblems and even on heavy waterspots on paint surfaces before we use compound.

When it drips on the floor, it stains the floor so it goes black.

We don't care if the remaining acids go down the drain unlike in the US probably, there are "environment police".

So it's nothing new but a safer acid WS remover is what I am after. I wanted to try spotless to remove WS on coatings without affecting the coating.

This looks to be a very interesting product. How long can you leave it on the paint without doing harm?

Thanks for the review Troy! Had seen it in action and can't wait to use it :)

Great review. I had a chance to use Spotless this weekend. Black truck got a 2 step and then sealed. While I was waiting to buff off the sealant I thought about trying spotless out on the glass. All 6 windows of this truck were spotted up real bad. Bad to the point were I have never seen windows this bad. I think the guy has a sprinkler system, with a well supply. I knew before I started that the windows would have to be polished to remove the spotting. Anyway, Spotless didn't budge this stuff. I don't think Spotless was made for this, but I thought I would give it a try. I am looking forward to using this again in the fashion the OP did.

To be honest, I am not sure. I personally feel like since it is an Acidic formula the less it is on the paint the better. I don't think I would let it sit for more than a minute or so before I wiped it off. I would rather re-apply than to leave it on to long and damage the paint.

It is quite amazing how quickly and effectively it works, when compared to older water spot removers. (CG WSM)

Very good review!

Thank you.

Great product & excellent review.

Thanks

I would guess that on glass you can let Spotless "dwell" for longer hopefully loosening some of the mineral deposits more. But depending on how bad / etched in they are you may need to do some serious glass polishing anyway to remove the spots.

nice review , I can attest that this works, that simple . perfect for coated vehicles, for those little buggers that just won't go away . I've used it on opticoated vehicle, have since removed and cquk'd .

What is this "balanced" acid they speak of? I've been secretly using acid for a long time, but I can't talk about it on here, because guys are on me like white on rice.

And when I say acid, I don't mean hydrofluoric or any byproducts or anything similar to that. Mostly citric and phosphoric to remove hard water deposits in jams and the underside of hoods.

Is this "Spotless" some new, "balanced," safe super chemical? Haha...this should be fun.

All that said, I'm pretty excited about this product, despite my slightly cynical, previous post. haha.

I agree this is one product almost all coating owners need since most coatings seem to developed spotting over time.

Excellent review!

Thanks Paul

To be honest, I don't know what the balanced-acid formula is. But I have seen it in action and it works.

I would love to see your thoughts on Spotless since you have been using other acids already for the same purpose, to compare your thoughts and effectiveness.

Another stellar review Troy and the photos really show the products capability...:props:

I may have to try some of this....Thank You! :dblthumb2:

Hope this isn't a dumb question, but is this only to be used with a Cquartz coated vehicle?

Not at all.

Spotless is water-spot remover for all coatings as well as waxes. The only thing with all water spot removes on a wax or sealant is that the WSR will most likely remove your LSP / protection.

Compared to other WSR I have used I wouldn't hesitate to suggest & recommend Spotless due to its results and ease of use.

Cool, thank you!
I was getting thrown by the use of "coating" and also from the description on the website it specifically says CQuartz.
