Reflecting back to Nick's review of Duragloss Wax Eraser, some products don't need a lot of words for the review. This was done for a forum member to hold him over until I perform a full correction.

Final thoughts:

Buy them.

Hey what pads and speed did you use. That looks awesome.

Process -

Porter Cable 7424XP
Lake Country 5.5" Black finishing pad

Spread Blacklight on speed 3, work into paint on speed 5 medium pressure, reduce speed to 3 and pressure to weight of machine. Allow 15 minutes to haze, wipe away residue, allow 30 minutes to cure, apply V07.

*Edit - Make 4-6 section passes for each speed except spreading product.

Chemical Guys make a lot of great products and BL is one of my favourite. Excellent sharing my friend!

I am curious to know, are the defects hidden or removed by BL? I bet they are hidden but if defects are removed that means BL can do some serious correction as an AIO.

My guess is that they are hidden due to the hard paint and only using a finishing pad.

Modern Performance... You're in Houston / SE Texas area?

Just had some nice results with BL/V7 myself but I agree on concealing vs. correcting.

I was curious on how well BL fill. Damn did a good job. Iove this product even more.

No, I'm based out of WV and the owner is in the Cleveland, OH area. He's just a customer of Modern Performance. Maybe with a different pad and soft paint some slight correction may occur, but I honestly don't know.

I was very surprised at how it filled. The only product from them that I know fills better is Glossworkz Glaze. I could only imagine pairing the two!

I don't think you can pair the two, Cause BL has some correction ability I think it would just negate the glaze. I sure would like to know.

That should clear up any misconceptions out there that BL has no abrasives in it. Anybody that actually uses the stuff (and applies it like a corrective polish) has seen what it can do...and no, its not just filling in.

Some CG salesman will swear on a stack of bibles that BL has no abrasives in it. I guess they should actually use it once in a while.

Awesome job!

What was the size of the sections you worked on? Same size when you perform correction or bigger? Thanks :)

Richard,

You're right, a picture is worth a thousand words!! :props:

I used the Blacklight and V07 last Sunday on the roof of my truck. I applied the Blacklight with a gray finishing pad on speed 3 and it went on super smooth. Adhering somewhat with the 15 & 30 minute recommendations, I buffed then applied the V07 sealant. I was pretty pleased the results and the finish was super slick. :dblthumb2:

The paint on wasn't as smooth as I'd like it so if the opportunity presents itself I might lightly wet sand with 2000 grit then polish.

Nice work!! :props:

Richard you are usually not a man of so few words!
But those pictures do tell the story well! :props:

Bobbyg: you said paint wasn't as smooth, do you think if you used different products you would get a better result? I'm asking cause I just bought BL combo I'm waiting for them to arrive.

Geez Richard, That looks amazing for the amount of swirls shown before. Seems like a great combo.
