ok its late and im tired but i wanted to get this review up. sorry no pics, it was too dark for my camera to get good shots.
ok anyways i was working on an ML43K today. thats a mercedes with a 4.3 liter supercharged V-8 Kleeman package with about 480hp and black 22's....in an SUV haha.
this vehicle was terribly neglected and smoker owned, i was not thrilled to do the interior which basically took an hour and a half to do just the front 2 rows of leather seats and plastic/vinyls with DP total interior. yea, it was bad.outside was very swirly. i washed with a shmitt and megs gold. it needed some swirl removing badly but i wasnt gonna break out my PC, why do that when i got a new free gift of glaze! so i applied by hand with a MF applicator and did about half a fender, flipped the pad over and wiped it off. there was literally a solid line of haze on the left, clear black paint on the right, the red moose cleaned the paint up very nice!!!so i proceded to do the whole car and under the security light i could see it was much much much shinier, the paint had been so bad. some of the swirls were filled in but ive never had great experience with glazes and swirls, they never fill it all in for me.i did enjoy this product though.

question for AG, are you discontinuing the clearkote brand? i remember hearing that sales quotas forced the latest free gift, but did not expect to see clearkote in my box when i opened it up. either way, thanks to max or whoever picked out the glaze for me:righton:

Is Clearkote going out of business? Somebody on another thread mentioned something like that.

i dunno about that, it sounded like AG was just discontinuing that product line due to sales.they have some pretty good products, i never enjoy seeing a business fail so i hope your wrong about going out of business but who knows

I hope not. I really like CMW and am looking forward to trying RMG.

I only used QuikShine from ClearKote and loved it. While it was on sale+25% off from gift card made it a real deal!

I dont think the line is being discontinued, and know it is not currently going out of business. RMG is designed for machine, but works via hand, and VMG is designed for hand use only. Try it next ....

i will do it by machine eventually, i just didnt feel like breaking it out as well as sourcing a new cord(forgot my extension at home)
thanks for the clarification, maybe it was the microfiber towels that are being discontinued...the miracle towels i think it was. they seemed to work just fine but i didnt pay much attention...

The site only shows two products, the QuikShine and interior rubber/leather/vinyl treatment.:confused:

Maybe Meghans post was correct and misunderstood. Seems the line might be going bye-bye !

I would have ordered up, knowing that the line was going to be discontinued.. Oh well.

Wonder why it wouldn't sell good on here but sells well on other sites? If you look on auto forums there's usually a lot of guys talking about Clearkote, I remember when I was on the SVT board while back that seemed like damn near what everyone was using/talking about.

As long as AG keeps Quickshine that's what matters though:D

Dang, that sucks Clearkote is a cool brand. And the Miracle towels are going too?! Oh man... TELL ME IT ISN"T SO!

whoa whoa, dont jump to conclusions based on what i said, i think the miracle towel is staying, i dunno lol

VMG can be used with a polisher..and you get nicer results also since it does have a mild abrasive...I used with a PC and Rotary and it works great

From the Clearkote site...

Vanilla Moose Wax-Hand Glaze

* To remove those 'Spider Web Scratches' that are induced during washing or drying.
* It can be used with a buffer for outstanding results.
* Use on all paint, plastic, glass, chrome and rubber molding around windows.
* An excellent oxidization remover.
* Use before Moose Wax and maintain that wet deep rich color and luster with Quik Shine between waxing.

It does do great on any micro marring...and leaves a nice finish for any wax ypu top it with

AL

Man, that's so sad. I like the Clearkote line as well. I think though with it having to compete with DP, WG and Pinnacle though it would be tough. But the glazes and the Quickshine are true gems of the line. What a pity. :(

Man thank god i ordered the 32 ounce bottle of RMG my last order....real shame that they will not be offered by AG any longer, they really do have great products. Should of bought more now that i think of it.

No one said anything about the Miracle Towel but ClearKote is going.

I have never used the the Clearkote brand so when I received some free Vanilla Moose Wax-Hand Glaze with one of my orders I wrapped it up as an extra Christmas gift for someone. If you guys all like it so much maybe I should have kept it for myself. Oh well it's good to play Santa. If it was some free Souveran Paste I think I would have played scrouge and kept it for myself.

Are you sure? I checked their website and it is fine, showing all the products. They say that they were doing some reorganizing, that's why the website was a bit *fallen apart*.
