Hi everyone!

I'm looking for some assistance in choosing the right products. I have both a car and a motorcycle I like to keep clean, and sometimes I need to work in direct sunlight. I understand that products which say they're good in direct sunlight work better in the shade.

First, I'm looking for a waterless wash product. I was originally leaning towards the Poorboys S&W because it's safe to use in direct sunlight, but the Detailer's Pro concentrate is BOGO and looks like a great deal. Has anyone used that in direct sunlight with any issues?

Second, if I'm jumping on the waterless wash bandwagon I'm going to need some microfibers. Currently, I have five of the Meguiar's Supreme Shine. I'd like to keep those for purposes other than the waterless washing. What's the best microfiber to buy in quantity for this purpose? I was considering the Super Soft Deluxe Blue Microfiber after some searching, but if I should just buy more Meguiar's that's fine as well. I'm sure I would love some Cobra 530 or 600s, but they're kind of pricey to buy 12 of.

Last but not least, I've been using Meguiar's #20 for a sealant. It lasts a while, offers good protection, and I've never had issues with applying it in direct sunlight with my DA. Is there any reason I should consider the Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze or another product over the M20?

Thanks in advance for the assistance!

I have tried DP WAW, Poorboys S&W, Opti-Clean, EcoTouch and Ultima WW+. I like UWW+ the best (and most economical, to boot).

You will want long nap MFs (and a lot) for the initial wipe. From AG, the Chinchillas look like a good candidate.

KHGSG is quite finicky and is not the easiest to apply/remove. Please search the forum for many posts on it. Applied properly, looks great on light colors (esp silver) - IMHO.

everyone here will tell you for all products, best to apply them in the shade.

I've never tried either, but when there's something on bogo that you might be interested in, it's always a safe bet to pull the trigger and go with it.
The product that every member here will promote and use is Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine: clay lubricant, optimum rinseless wash, no rinse car wash, optimum detailing products. I myself have this as well, and if you search the forum for "ONR" you're bound to find loads of reviews praising the product.

I believe this is one of the questions that would be best answered by autogeeks phone support. just give them a ring. I just ordered a few more myself, and decided on Cobra Miracle Towels, microfiber buffing towels, Miracle microfiber towel calling them on the phone will steer you to the best towel for the best price. *keep in mind the prices are always changing as things go on/ come off/ specials.

I've not used M20 nor Klasse. The product i've used and love the longevity of has to be Collinite Liquid Insulator Wax #845, liquid wax, heat-resistant wax, car wax

Of course, the photo recap of cars detailed from other members helps; and taking that into consideration is another great one, BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection, paint sealant, synthetic sealant, blackfire sealant . I have used a "sample" of this on a dark blue civic and was wowed. I have an order coming in next week and will be using it on a black mustang shortly after. I've been sold on it by the reviews and recaps from other members.

Thanks in advance for the assistance!
hope it helps!

Hmm. The economical comment made me decide to do the math.

The UWW+ makes 32, 22oz bottles at $20.99. $0.66/bottle, $0.03/oz.

DP on BOGO makes 8, 32oz bottles at $16.99. $2.12/bottle, $0.07/oz.

ONR is 8 oz per gallon, and a gallon is 128oz. For simplicity, ONR makes 16, 32oz bottles at $15.99. $1.00/bottle, $0.03/oz.

So ONR and UWW+ are basically the same cost, while DP is much more expensive, even though it's on BOGO.

Interesting. Thanks for bringing up the UWW+.

KHGSG is quite finicky and is not the easiest to apply/remove. Please search the forum for many posts on it. Applied properly, looks great on light colors (esp silver) - IMHO.

I'll stick to the M20 then, thanks.

It is the truth, and if it was always an option, I would. There's no way I'm leaving bird droppings or tree sap on my paint until I can work on it in the shade though.

After seeing you bring up the ONR I decided to add it to the calculations above. The DP really doesn't seem worth the money if the ONR or UWW+ are even close to it in performance. Thanks for mentioning this product.

I was hoping to avoid anything as expensive as those, as even in the six pack it's $6.67/towel and I imagine I'm going to need a dozen for a car of my size.

That's also the same price as the COBRA Jr, although they're a bit smaller, that's what appears to be recommended under the Waterless Wash guide by AG.

Good to know that AG has solid phone support.

Thanks for the suggestions and help. Looking those up, I think I'll stick with the M20 over those, at least for my base coat.

The Blackfire is interesting though. Currently, on my bike I do M20 topped with NXT 2.0. Does that have cleaners like M20, or is it more of a polish/wax like NXT?

ONR is a rinseless wash - not a waterless. It is a great product but they are not the same.

I use waterless when the car is only slightly dirty (dusty actually). If it has rained on my car or worse, then I do rinseless.

good value at 3 for $10, super value when on bogo

Ahhh okay. So that means that UWW+ really is the most economical spray and wipe product by a large margin. I really like how it has the measuring thing built in too.

I believe these are the ones I was looking at. Thanks for the +1. :)

Too bad they're not BOGO now. Heck if any of the nice towels were BOGO that would make my decision for me.
