Yesterday I used XMT360, then topped it with Souveran Spray wax...Car looked great, felt nice and slick. This morning I went over the car with Poorboys Spray and Wipe to get the layer of dust off the car from it sitting with the thought of trying out my new Optimum Opti Seal. Unfortunately I didnt have enough time to use the OS since I had to be at work by 9. So now im checking over my car and it looks great but it seems to have lost that nice slick feel from yesterday. Is it possible that it lost its slickness from the Spray and Wipe? Or is it something else?

Could be the S&W. After I use S&W I typically go over things quickly with a QD. The slickest QDs for me are FK425 or CG's Extreme Slick. Also, could try some Crystal Mist. On carnauba I use that or FK425.

I'd have to agree with S&W taking away from the slickness.

QuickShine is also a good QD'er, and will actually help in the slickness department :righton:

so if it is taking away from the slickness does that mean it is taking away from the protection and from the gloss?

If you still have decent slickness, then I'd say very, very little to none of protection is lost. I'd just wipe some CM over it to slick it back up.

Also, I often use ONRW in a spray bottle and dilute per a QD. It works great to remove dust and light dirt and I'd don't see any drop off in slickness even over carnauba.

really want to try out my optimum opti seal...just going to have to go over the car with a QD first since the car will be sitting for a while until I can get to it
