Hey guys just wondering what products are being used when a customer wants an exterior detail and how much you charge? Not a crazy showroom detail just a regular detail. Right now I'm using megs 151 paint recondition cream

Whatever products you're using on the paint for a regular old detail. For more profit I went with an AIO

You can pretty much use anything to shine up a car quick. The bottom line is that all paints are not created equal, some horrific some in moderate condition. In this business you have to have a vast majority of pads and products for each situation. If your looking to shine up a car quickly d151 or HD speed will work fine with many others to list.or just clay it and spray wax it.The go to product for me is HD speed and fg 400 and powerlock.

Was looking up hd speed Vs my d151 I'm using right now. May have to try it some time but I have 3/4 of a gallon of d151 left lol

You will be impressed.a lot of products I've used in 23 years of doing this,HD cuts and produces a nice shine and removal is bliss. Not to mention the price.Hd as a cap on correction but with different pads pressure and technique you can make a major improvement as a stand alone product.

Awesome. Also looking into blackfire total polish and seal. Ever use that? And this thread is more based on correction/finish on paint

i used cg before then menzurna but for quick details for the budget bargainer i use hd speed and have some pretty good results.

That's exactly what I'm looking for just something that gets the job done. For multi step I just use m105 and m205

for a multi step I use menz heavy cut 1000 then super finish 3500

Great stuff. Very easy to use, produces exceptional results, and is a breeze to remove.

And this thread is more based on correction/finish on paint.

Based on an AIO detail or multi step detail?

For multi step I just use m105 and m205.

IF you are looking for something a bit more user friendly, consider looking into the McKee's 37 lineup.

I'd say more based on an AIO for customers just wanting a regular detail for their daily drivers. I definitely want to try the blackfire total polish and the hd speed

And by user friendly what do you mean exactly?

I Have from meguairs m105 m205, D300 ,
menzerna 400, ,2500, 4000
HD adapt
Xmt 360, blackfire total polish and seal.

But what you use would be totally depends on car, color and condition

Hope this helped

I want to try a new compound also. Right now using the m105. Sometimes it's a pain to use but I absolutely love m205 so I'm going to stick with that.

What do you all recommend I try as a dedicated compound that is great at removing defects? Using my flex 3401

I do not detail cars. I just do economical Rinseless Washes for $20 on a small cars. I wash the vehicle with a Big Red Sponge soaked in ONR in a bucket (1oz per 2 gallons of water) and dry. I clean the bugs off the bumper with Optimum Power Clean and rinse the bumper with a pump sprayer. Then clean wheels, tires, and wheel wells with Optimum Power Clean. I dress the tires with Meguiars Hyper Dressing at 3.1 and then Opti Seal the paint in 5 minutes and walk away

Total of 4 products -- ONR -- Power Clean --- Meguiars Hyper Dressing. Opti Seal

I will use a 5th product if the trim is dull. I will dress the trim with 303 Aerospace Protectant

Blackfire aio is a nice product for a car that's a year old and needs some minor improvement very light polish.
