I grew up with Carnauba Wax but since the invention of Synthetics I've never gone back to Carnauba.

I'm now getting back into it and I'm looking for an affordable liquid Carnauba or paste if need be.

So for you pros;
What are you using?
How are you using it?
Do you upsell it?

Thanks,
M

It sounds like you're looking for high end wax since you mentioned you selling it?

I'm like you and have moved to pretty much mostly synthetics. If someone specifically requests a carnauba I have Megs #26 which gives a great finish, just not durable.

I don't like hauling more than I have to, so I don't carry around a bunch of different options - the majority of my customers honestly couldn't care less as long as it looks good and protects well.

I'm just the opposite:

I grew up using "the Synthetics"...before the marketers started pushing (in the 1960s) how much greater Carnauba Wax was to wax vehicles with.

•Funny thing about those "earlier Synthetics" though...
-they had a tad, or two, of carnauba wax in them as well.
-Kinda reminds me of some of:
"nowadays Synthetics/Waxes/Hybrids". :)

Anyway...
For your stated purpose:

Liquid wax, Meh... stick to sealants.

P21S Concours, Collinite 915, & Petes 53 are all under 50 bills and all good.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't understand the want/need for a carnauba wax as a LSP product that you'd be upselling. :dunno: Not unless you are talking about doing show cars that are parked inside, or for a weekend car show. One.... two washes and you're done.

Instead, Meguiar's M26 Yellow Wax is one of the best choices out there. Much MUCH better durability than a (non) hybrid carnauba and with a DOI rating as good as pretty much anything you'll run across.

Not a pro here, but if you are somewhat of a purist, maybe P21S 100% pure carnauba? $60 for 6oz. which doesn't seem too bad.
