Just picked up a new Maserati, took what was on the lot! Car is equipped with a high gloss woodgrain trim that was a $1,000 option... Whats the best way to protect it? Is the Swissvax product any different than any other carnauba based wax?

I am not sure what swissvax product you are referring to but a ceramic coating works pretty well. It will still get swirled up but the coating helps more than a wax.

They make an interior wood wax, supposedly is designed for wood interiors, but can't see how it differs from any other pure wax... Ceramic Coat makes sense!

Just to chime in,

That wood is finished off with a Urethane paint coating. So treat like paint.

I recently detailed a Maserati with this trim, here's my review

And here's a picture of what you're talking about.
