My wife and I both have Xpel Ultimate PPF film applied to our cars. I just received Cquartz Uk 3.0 to put on the non PPF parts of the car, so with that being said I also received Carpro Reload. When I picked my car up yesterday from the Xpel installer I asked if he sold any of the Xpel brand PPF sealant and he said no, he uses something better, Hydrosilex Recharge. After looking into the Hydrosilex it looks pretty easy to use and is similar to Reload. Both are [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Silica sprays and priced the same. Hydrosilex states it is safe for PPFs and can also be used on existing coatings.

Has anyone used Hydrosilex? I'm assuming Carpro Reload is safe for PPFs as well?

When it comes to protection for my
vehicles which have XPel’s PPF...I
don’t, and won’t, ever assume any
product is “safe”; or, that will not have
any negative affect upon their warranty.

That’s why, over the years, I have only
used XPel and Premier PF1 products.
IMO: XPel’s PPFs are too costly to throw
caution to the wind.

Costly indeed! That why I was going to go with the Xpel sealant. The guy that installed it is an authorized Xpel installer. I was surprised when he told me he recommends Hydrosilex over the actual Xpel sealant.

Use the reload you got. It will work fine with PPF. You can coat it with CQUK 3.0 if you like. Hydrosilex was and is over hyped. I had the first formula and was not impressed. I gave it away and am not interested in the new formula that is out.

I read that Hydrosilex came out with an updated formula. But it seems a bit gimmicky.....

Yeah they did and I am sure it is much better. But I was not impressed with the first formula enough to get me to purchase the latest. I was only out $10 for shipping when I got mine. It is gimmicky in the nature that they call it a spray coating when in fact it is a silica spray sealant like Reload and others in this category. One thing is that it did not streak. Reload if overused can streak. Other than that they are comparable.

I ceramic coated my xpel with system x. Seems to be working out awesome
