So i want to use my PC some more and yes i also have a rotary .I just haven't spent enough time with the PC. So was wondering what are some of the combo's everyone is using as far as polish and waxes using there PC.Please chime in .:cheers:
 
Im using the menzerna SIP and Nano combo. Gettin ready to get some 85RD. Does a great job for not being a rotary lol

Really lucky there TT that combo wouldn't make a dent in my clear coat with a PC .
 
I am using Menzerna SIP with an orange or yellow pad and Menzerna Micro with a white or black pad. I am also waiting for a sale to buy some blue pads and Menzerna PO85RD as well.

I have quite a few different polishes to use if needed. I had a friend recommend the Menzerna line and they quickly became my favs. I also purchased a rotary last August but i find that I still use the PC a lot.

I have stayed with a favorite sealant for close to 6 years now but I did pick up some of the Fuzion. I also use P21S on the family van for the most part. Meghan slipped some WG samples in an order and I tried them on the family van which led to the purchase of Fuzion.

I have an 04 Bonneville and I agree that the clear is pretty hard but the Menz products work with a PC but it does take a while. I will be using the rotary this spring on a few scratches. I have not used a PC on the scratches due to being too busy.

Is the CC that much harder on a Vette?

From what i understand from others that the vette clear is very hard but scratches very easy.My pc wouldn't take out any swirls or very little .Had to use the rotary ,was looking to see what others are having luck with using the PC
 
I wouldn't use a PC on a vette that isnt in near perfect condition. What you experienced is normal.
 
Hahahah well crap, sorry I couldnt help you out there. Once again the Vette's CC wins the battle of hardness.

Wouldnt it be nice for a change to make it hard to scratch a car's CC in the first place lol. Im still waiting for that day hahah. Of course, then we will all be put out of business hahaha

I might use it with a finishing pad, speed 6, and 085RD to jewel paint that was in pristine condition. Or maybe the carpet brushes to clean the interior on a Vette.

Not bad idea but looking more into other car lines or models .All ready know vettes are needy , I guess the real answer is try it on other cars and depending how much paint correction is needed make the final decision then .Or put it on E-bay Notttttttt

:confused: Why bother? I haven't had even the slightest desire to reach for my PC while working on paint. It is relegated to carpet brush duty now. Keep using the rotary. The more you use it, the better your results will be.

I feel the same way, I cant stand using the PC! Only thing I use it for is applying sealants.

Good point. I usually apply them by hand. I've been meaning to try the PC for it though. The gold CCS pad is great for applying sealants.

Well i got my answer .What do you think about using it with the ultrafina or like the menz 85rd .

We already had this discussion, better results when used with the rotary. Just use your pc to apply your Pinnacle paint cleaner.
