Public Opinion Wanted - Bus. Name

Fellow AG'ers,

The time has come that I make this part time gig official. This will still be part time, but I'd like to start marketing myself, with a broader approach than just word of mouth. So I'm wanting to come up with an official business name that "reflects" what I do. I have a cousin-in-law that is graduating with a degree in Graphic Design, so I'll be able to create a logo and business cards, relatively quickly. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to settle on a business name, but have narrowed it down to a few that I like, and haven't been taken in my county. I'm somewhat hung-up on putting "Reflections" in the name, but that name alone is not only taken, the '.com' name is spoken for as well. So here are my three ideas that I'd like to get your thoughts on. I'd like to hear what you all have to say as the name might come off as long in the tooth, or not that specific, etc. So here goes:

Restored Reflections
Revived Reflections
Renewed Reflections

Your opinions are very much welcomed and appreciated.

Good luck to you Y2K and IMO I like Restored Reflections the best, Revived Reflections just doesn't roll off of the tongue at all and Renewed Reflections just isn't as strong as Restored Reflections. I need to do this as well, I'm pretty chatty and have done 2 cars this year and got lucky with them at that, my g/f actually got me the work. As you know I used to do this and it was word of mouth at first for the most part but I must say that business cards got me 1 detailing job but it was a good one.....BMW Z8!

I feel that detailing jobs are just as much about selling yourself as it is your actual skill set. The 2 jobs I had a couple weeks ago went well and the customer was actually expecting a younger guy and then I showed up but what really put him at ease was my passion for cars and explaining what I was going to be doing and why, this puts a lot of people at ease I've found. For a lot of people its their "baby" and they wanna make sure your compitent which I'm sure you are!

Thank you for your reply, Roger! I remember several of your CEG posts, detailing out of the "Meguiar's Compound." I was on the Zaino train during most of that time, and loved seeing you go toe-to-toe against Pete at Spring Zing '05 (or was it '06? Jim and I hosted both, but I can't remember now) with Meguiar's vs. Zaino on Scott's SVT.

By the way, "Restored Reflections" is my favorite as well, but sometimes what I like won't appeal to potential customers, which is why I'm looking for input from people like you. So, thank you! :xyxthumbs:

One other thing, I'm not easily offended, so if anyone has differing opinions, or you think all three names are terrible and want to throw in your suggestions, please do!

I like renewed reflections as my favorite. To me restored reflections makes me think body work or customization. Like the previous poster said revived reflections just doesn't roll off the round as nicely. Good luck in your venture. Hope u find a name that suits!

Renewed reflections sounds best. Once you search a domain name someone buys it right after you search it. It's best to buy the one you want right away. There are companies that buy them as soon as they have been searched.
