Pump Sprayer?

Hey all.

I live in an apartment complex where there are water restrictions and no hose hookups. For my weekly maintenance washes I have been successful with waterless washes, but wheel cleaning at home has been a challenge.

I'd like to use a quality wheel cleaner but most require rinsing off after dwelling. Since I don't have a hose, I was thinking of using either a spray bottle or pump sprayer filled with water. Think this will work?

Those pump sprayers don't have enough pressure to effectively rinse IMO.
 
I've used pump sprayers before for cleaning wheels after parking a car on the show grounds for a weekend, they work ok, provided the wheels aren't too dirty as long as you don't mind pumping and making trips for water.
 
As long as you are willing to haul water and you could run an extension cord out a window....

There are small electric pressure washers that will pull from a water source without an additional pump (Karcher X Series).

There are places local in most cities that sell de-ionized water for $.25 per gallon. 5 gallons weights about 42lbs.

The pressure washer uses about 1.8 gpm

Throw an electric leaf blower in the mix and now you are able to do Touchless Washes at your apt.
 
Depending on the condition I would certainly see a good 2 gallon pump sprayer work for rinsing wheels. (Or even a 5 gallon bucket of water) If no car wash is nearby, get one. They are cheap.

I actually just bought a small one this week to apply interior cleaners. When you do this every day, you have to find ways to cut down on wear and tear to the hands. I figure I pull a sprayer trigger about 500 times a day and this week that number has been cut down to about 100. my wife notices the difference :)
