So after 6 months, I contacted a previous customer of mine to see if he needed a fresh coat of wax. Turns out he does, but whats worse is he etched the entire windshield, hood, fenders, and headlights with Purple Power.

Its Love Bug season down here, and his black Yukon is eating them up. Needless to say he comes home on hot & humid S. Fla day, and sprays PP on FULL STRENGTH. He did not rinse the vehicle first either. Just got out of the driver seat and began to saturate the suv.

My question is, how the heck do I remove it. Will compound (M105/UC) remove the etching on the paint? I have the Mothers Water Spot Remover for Glass. And am hoping it will help the windshield.

Any info on this matter is greatly appreciated. Im willing to buy whatever I need to get the job done. He lives 2.5 hrs North from me (in the boonies) and wants to pay my travel expenses just to get his wife off his back... Its her vehicle, LoL.

First, not ALL user error issues are correctable.
Secondly, test spot with a paint cleaner/AIO before jumping on the compound.
Least aggressive first.

Glass is an entirely different beast than paint.
The Mothers product is a good choice to start with and is well suited for what it is designed for. However, it is limited to what it can do. If the vehicle is high mileage, the windshield is probably highly pitted, and cleaning with the WSR will only highlight the damage already done, by improving the clarity of the class. Thus allowing the damage to be more visible because the glass is now clean. Hope that this makes sense.

Sometimes all one can do is all one can do...to paraphrase a quote from AGO.

My two cents.
