Rubbing out my neighbor's truck made me realize that I need something more aggressive than Ult Compound and a maroon cutting disc. Would it be better to use a Megs microfiber finishing disc (5") as my next level of aggressiveness or should I go to the mf cutting disc (5")?

Or, should I go with a more aggressive compound?

I would go with the cutting disc, you'd have to ask at the Meguiar's forum for a good read on how much more aggressive that is than the maroon disc, but I think you're going backwards with the MF finishing.

M100 seems to be what everybody likes as a Meg's alternate to M105 as far as the more aggressive compound.

Keep in mind the mf pads were made as part of a system. D300 has good cut and will finish well on some paints. It's fun to try different pad and compound combos to find that " sweet spot ". As Mike Phillips likes to say , do a test spot. Get it dialed in and have fun.
