i know there is a plethora of OC2 questions, im sorry to add another to the bundle :o
im just trying to find out if applying opti coat to a carbon fiber hood would prevent the notorious yellowing thats accompanied with the crappy gel epoxy coats these hoods come in.

i also plan to add accents to my bumper along with some interior pieces. most if not all epoxy resins lack the UV protection needed to withstand the rays. specially in FL. i have heard of some spraying a layer of clear coat that has UV protection but i want to take the extra step and do my best to prevent it.

post your thoughts

Thanks bobby. I sent him a pm last night. Hope to here from him soon !

If the carbon fiber is clear coated use Opti Coat. If not wait for Opti Lens To be released and use that instead. Opti Lens has high levels of UV inhibitors and will work on that surface as well as polycarbonate.

what about the pieces im going to be doing my self ? the epoxy im going to use has UV inhibitors, i also planned to spray dupont clear coat (aerosol can). would it be okay to apply 2.0 on that clear coat ?

Just saw the info on the new products and I like it ! I might use that
